The six athletes who will represent Monaco at the London Olympic Games were introduced to the press today at the Hotel Hermitage in the presence of TT.SS.HH. Prince Albert and Princess Charlene: Angélique Trinquier (swimming – 100m backstroke), Hervé Banti (triathlon), Brice Etèes (athletics – 800m), Damien Desprat-Lerale (sailing), Mathias Raymond (rowing – skiff) and Yann Siccardi (Judo – under 60kg category). Also joining the group was H.E. Mrs. Yvette Lambin-Berti, General Secretary of the Monegasque Olympic Committee.
Siccardi and Raymond are competing in their second Olympics and 21 year-old Angélique will act as Monaco’s flag-bearer. The “Monaco House”, in London’s vibrant Piccadilly neighborhood, will serve as the Principality’s headquarters during the 30th Summer Olympic Games.
