Monaco Welcomes A New National Museum

For decades, the Principality of Monaco has attracted travelers to its enchanted Mediterranean coast offering celebrated hotels, restaurants and nightlife, world-class cultural and sporting events and historical attractions.  Monaco continues to offer legendary experiences for travelers in 2011.

New Ways to see the New Sights
Tourists traveling to Monaco now have an additional option of exploring the Principality with the newly acquired open-top buses. The Grand Tour open-top bus takes passengers to several different points of interest including the Prince’s Palace, Casino de Monte-Carlo and museums – including Monaco’s recently opened Nouveau Musée National de Monaco (NMNM – the new National Museum) located in two stunning venues: the  Villa Paloma and the Villa Sauber.

With a focus on modern, contemporary works of art, these newly re-designed venues will present two expositions annually per venue and will spotlight the cultural, historic and artistic virtues of Principality.

The Nouveau Musée National de Monaco (NMNM) is open daily from 10:00am to 6:0pm. Entry is free to all under the age of 26. The Museum’s two venues are located at: Villa Paloma, 56 boulevard du Jardin Exotique and Villa Sauber 17 Avenue Princesse Grace.

To help travelers plan trips to this storybook destination, the Monaco Government Tourist Office recently launched the Monaco travel guide app, offering suggested itineraries and restaurants, event information, travel and shopping tips, and interactive maps designed to help vacationers navigate their way through the Principality.

This world-first, Monaco-specific iPhone mobile guide immerses savvy travelers in the local culture, cuisine and contacts. Featuring up-to-date facts and figures and stunning images of the Principality’s legendary attractions, restaurants, bars, nightlife, hotels, shopping, spas and architecture, this uniquely Monaco guide shows phone, address, email or website details – even launches a Google map – at a touch.
